Program Description
This programs prepares students for entry into college level Police Foundations programs and future law enforcement careers in municipal and provincial policing, corrections, private security, and municipal bylaw enforcement. Practical experience is gained through co-operative education, field trips, and guest speakers. Co-operative education placements in 2010 included:

Kingston Municipal By-Law Office
Queen's Security
Gananoque Fire Service
Ministry of Natural Resources
Program Requirements
- All students must have a criminal background check completed prior to start of the program
- Students must be a minimum age of 17 for most placements - minimum age for some policing placements is 18
- Placements are arranged at the discretion of the instructor and co-op placement coordinator
- Use of a vehicle is strongly recommended due to the nature/distance of some placements
- $250.00 course fee per student (fee covers CPR and First Aid training, self defense training, and a variety of field trips)
